NEW DELHI: As the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections approach, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to commence his campaign by addressing a public meeting in Seelampur, northeast Delhi, on January 13, 2025, at 5:30 PM. The event, themed ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan,’ aims to rally support for the party in the upcoming polls.
Congress Intensifies Campaign Efforts
This rally marks Gandhi’s first in Delhi since the announcement of the election schedule. The Delhi Legislative Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, 2025, with results to be declared on February 8, 2025. The Congress party is focusing on engaging with minority, OBC, and Scheduled Caste voters, particularly in slum areas and key constituencies, to strengthen its support base.
Political Landscape Ahead of Delhi Elections
The political environment in Delhi has been dynamic, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducting two programs in the capital, during which he criticized AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal and the party’s government. Additionally, the Phalodi Satta Bazar has projected a significant decline in AAP’s tally for the upcoming elections.
