Ravindra Chavan Poised to Lead Maharashtra State as BJP Chief

Former Minister Set to Succeed Chandrashekar Bawankule

Breaking News

MUMBAI: Ravindra Chavan, a seasoned leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Maharashtra Minister, is anticipated to become the next state BJP chief. Chavan, who has represented the Dombivli Assembly constituency since 2009, is known for his close ties with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

In a strategic move, the BJP appointed Chavan as the state in-charge for its organizational rebuilding initiative, Sangathan Parv. This appointment has fueled speculation about his elevation to the party’s top position in Maharashtra, especially following the appointment of the current BJP chief, Chandrashekar Bawankule, as the state’s Revenue Minister.

Chavan’s political journey includes serving as the Minister of Public Works and Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection in the Maharashtra government. His leadership roles at the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation and his tenure as a Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly underscore his extensive experience in public service.

As Chavan prepares to assume the role of state BJP chief, his leadership is expected to influence the party’s strategies and policies in Maharashtra.
