Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) is expanding its business portfolio by entering the renewable energy equipment manufacturing sector. The company has appointed Ivan Saha as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Renewable Manufacturing and Mushtaque Hussain as CEO of Battery Manufacturing to spearhead this strategic initiative.
Ivan Saha brings over 30 years of experience in semiconductors and solar technology, having previously held leadership roles at Vikram Solar and ReNew Power. He will oversee the establishment of an integrated solar manufacturing unit aimed at boosting the production of solar panels and components in India, thereby promoting self-sufficiency in clean energy.
Mushtaque Hussain, with more than 25 years of expertise in the automotive, renewable energy, consumer electronics, and power tools sectors, has served in key positions at Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and Tesla. He will lead the development of an integrated battery manufacturing unit focused on creating advanced energy storage solutions for grid applications and electric mobility.
This move aligns with RInfra’s commitment to supporting India’s transition to sustainable energy solutions. By investing in domestic manufacturing capabilities for solar and battery technologies, RInfra aims to contribute significantly to the nation’s renewable energy goals and reduce dependence on imported equipment.
