Indian business magnate Sajjan Jindal, along with his family, attended the wedding of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, Zayd Hussain Nawaz, in Lahore. The event, held at the Sharif family’s Jati Umra residence, gathered around 700 local and international guests.
Jindal, the managing director of JSW Steel, has had a longstanding relationship with the Sharif family. Reports suggest that the Jindals have previously helped establish a steel mill for Nawaz Sharif’s son, Hussain Nawaz, in the Gulf region.
The visit was discreet, with the Jindal family arriving from Mumbai on a special aircraft. A substantial police presence ensured the security of the guests during their brief stay.
