In a significant boost to India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, Samsung has announced that its latest Galaxy S25 series will be manufactured at the company’s Noida facility. JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, stated, “We will manufacture the new Galaxy S25 series at our Noida plant in India.”
The Galaxy S25 series, unveiled on January 22, 2025, in San Jose, California, includes three models: Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. These smartphones are set to be released on February 7, 2025.
Samsung’s research and development center in Bengaluru, the company’s largest outside South Korea, played a pivotal role in enhancing the AI capabilities of the new lineup. The Galaxy S25 series features a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, delivering superior on-device processing power for Galaxy AI and an advanced camera system with next-generation ProVisual technology.
In India, the Galaxy S25 is priced starting at ₹80,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, with the Galaxy S25 Ultra priced at ₹1,29,999 for the base configuration. Pre-orders began on January 23, 2025, with benefits worth up to ₹21,000.
The decision to manufacture the Galaxy S25 series in Noida underscores Samsung’s commitment to the Indian market and aligns with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. This move is expected to strengthen Samsung’s position in the super-premium smartphone segment in India, where it faces stiff competition from other global brands.
