Sewa Parv 2025: Viksit Bharat Ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang – Celebrating Service and Cultural Pride Across India

New Delhi: The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is celebrating Sewa Parv 2025 from September 17 to October 2 as a nationwide festival dedicated to service, creativity, and cultural pride. Anchored in the Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, Sewa Parv brings communities and institutions together in an unprecedented collective movement that celebrates the spirit of Sewa (service) intertwined with India’s rich cultural heritage.

Vibrant Art Workshops and Cultural Programmes

On September 21, 2025, vibrant art workshops and cultural events were held at prestigious institutions across Odisha and Tamil Nadu under the theme “Viksit Bharat Ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang.”

  • Chennai, Tamil Nadu: The Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre, in collaboration with Kalakshetra Foundation, hosted a grand event with over 2,500 participants including students, professional artists, and cultural luminaries. Renowned dignitaries and artists, such as Shri Suresh Kumar, Shri Thotta Tharani, and others, enriched the event with their presence and insights.



  • Raghurajpur, Odisha: Seventy female traditional painters participated in workshops celebrating Odisha’s cultural heritage and their vision of a developed India. The event was graced by national awardees and celebrated artists who encouraged the painters to carry forward India’s artistic legacy.

  • Puri, Odisha: The Orissa College of Art & Craft conducted creative workshops involving 120 students and artists, mentored by stalwarts like Shri Debendra Das and Shri Nrusinghanath Nayak.

Nationwide Cleanliness Initiatives

Complementing the cultural festivities, the campaign included Swachhata drives conducted by cultural institutions such as Allahabad Museum (UP), Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (MP), and Victoria Memorial Hall (Kolkata). These activities promoted cleanliness as a fundamental service, inspiring citizens to contribute to vibrant, clean public spaces reflective of India’s cultural ethos.

Promoting Inclusive Participation

The Ministry has facilitated extensive digital participation via the Sewa Parv portal, enabling individuals across the nation to submit artwork online under the collective theme. Numerous painting workshops have been coordinated across 75 locations to encourage mass participation. Participants can access branding materials and guidance to contribute actively.
