The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is actively celebrating Sewa Parv 2025 from 17 September to 2 October 2025, a nationwide festival promoting service, creativity, and cultural pride. The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. Sewa Parv brings together communities, institutions, and individuals in a collaborative movement centered on service combined with creative expression.
30 September 2025 Celebrations
On this day, diverse art workshops were held simultaneously in six locations: Thrissur (Kerala), Kurukshetra (Haryana), Dimapur (Nagaland), Papum Pare (Arunachal Pradesh), Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), and Bhubaneswar (Odisha). These workshops, organized by regional cultural institutions under the Ministry of Culture, attracted enthusiastic participation from students, artists, academicians, and dignitaries.

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh (Ridge Mall Road & Gaiety Theatre):
The event was organized by Lalit Kala Akademi and attended by Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla (Governor of Himachal Pradesh), Shri Jai Ram Thakur (MLA), and Dr. Nand Lal Thakur (Vice Chairperson, LKA), who praised the creativity and enthusiasm of participants. -
Kurukshetra, Haryana (Kurukshetra University & Multi Art Centre):
Hosted by North East Zonal Cultural Centre (NZCC), the workshop witnessed robust participation and was graced by Prof. Somnath Schdeva (Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University) and Shri Dharvir Mirjapur (Chairman, Haryana Pashudhan Board). -
Bhubaneswar, Odisha (Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre):
Over 600 students and artists engaged in the workshop. Padma Shri Binod Maharana, noted Pattachitra painter, guided attendees in exploring India’s traditional arts. -
Thrissur, Kerala (Vadakke Brahmaswam Madham):
Organized by IGNCA RC Puducherry and LKA RC, the workshop engaged Gurukula resident students. Shri P. Parameswaran (President) and Shri Sreekanth (Manager) highlighted the importance of traditional learning spaces in fostering creativity. -
Papum Pare, Arunachal Pradesh (Rajiv Gandhi University):
The workshop was supported by academic and cultural leaders including Prof. S.K. Nayak (Vice Chancellor) and Smt. Mamta Riba, IAS, among others, emphasizing art’s role in cultural preservation and innovation. -
Dimapur, Nagaland (Stone Sculpture Garden):
The furniture included Shri K. Therie (Former Minister) and Shri Teisovikuolie Therie (Deputy Director, Art & Culture), who encouraged young artists to embrace their cultural heritage proudly.
Digital Engagement
The Ministry of Culture facilitated digital participation via the Sewa Parv portal, where institutions from across India upload event documentation. Individual participants can upload artworks, photographs, and creative pieces directly and share them using #SewaParv on social media. Branding and publicity materials are available for download to maintain a common identity during the festivities.

Individual Artists: Anyone can create artwork themed “Viksit Bharat ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang” and upload it to the official portal.
