Sewa Parv 2025: Proudly Launches Viksit Bharat Ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang

New Delhi: The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is celebrating Sewa Parv 2025 from September 17 to October 2, 2025, as a nationwide festival of service, creativity, and cultural pride. Guided by the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a developed India by 2047, Sewa Parv aims to unite communities, institutions, and individuals in a collective movement embodying service (Sewa), creativity, and cultural pride.

Celebrations on September 24, 2025

On September 24, 2025, vibrant art workshops and cultural programs were organized at key cultural institutions in Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), Barmer (Rajasthan), Ranchi (Jharkhand), and Bengaluru (Karnataka), under the theme “Viksit Bharat ke Rang, Kala ke Sang.”

  • Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh
    Hosted by Deen Dayal Upadhyay University and Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Arya Nagar, the event featured Vice Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon, Prof. Rajwant Rao, Deputy Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, and Prof. Usha Singh who motivated students to express their vision for a developed India through art.

  • Barmer, Rajasthan
    The Government Girls Senior Secondary School at Malgodam Road organized a one-day art workshop graced by Dr. Priyanka Chaudhary, MLA, and Padma Shri Anwar Khan. They emphasized the significance of local folk traditions and inspired youth to uphold their heritage while envisioning progress.

  • Ranchi, Jharkhand
    Delhi Public School, Ranchi, hosted the workshop struck by the presence of Minister of State for Defence Shri Sanjay Seth, MLA Shri C.P. Singh, and Padma Shri awardees Mukund Nayak and Mahavir Nayak, who shared rich experiences as folk artists, inspiring students.

  • Bengaluru, Karnataka
    Organized by IGNCA Regional Centre Bengaluru and NGMA Bengaluru, the workshop involved eminent personalities like filmmaker Shri T.S. Nagabharana and education officer Smt. Rekha Jagadish. Participants were encouraged to blend traditional and modern art in shaping a developed India.



Digital Participation and How to Engage

To enable wide participation, the Ministry of Culture launched the Sewa Parv portal, allowing institutions and individuals to document and upload their events and creative works, promoting cultural exchange online. Creative expressions can be shared on social media using #SewaParv.

  • Individuals can contribute artworks themed “Viksit Bharat ke Rang, Kala ke Sang” through the Sewa Parv portal.

  • Painting workshops are organized at 75 locations nationwide where participants can join in person.

The September 24 celebrations reflected India’s diverse cultural spirit, highlighting academic excellence in Gorakhpur, folk traditions in Barmer, vibrant artistic heritage in Ranchi, and the fusion of traditional and contemporary art forms in Bengaluru. The events fostered creativity, social responsibility, and pride in India’s rich cultural fabric.
