Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor’s highly anticipated action thriller Deva has undergone a schedule shift. Initially slated for release on February 14, 2025, the movie will now hit theaters earlier on January 31, 2025, as confirmed by the filmmakers. This change is seen as a strategic move to avoid competition with other big releases like Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s Chhaava on Valentine’s Day.
Directed by renowned Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews, making his Bollywood debut, Deva is expected to be a gripping action-packed drama. Shahid Kapoor stars as a rebellious cop embroiled in a high-stakes investigation, while Pooja Hegde plays a journalist, adding intrigue to the storyline. The film also features Pavail Gulati in a pivotal role.

Produced collaboratively by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, Deva boasts a talented technical crew. The film’s music is composed by Sachet-Parampara, and its cinematography is handled by Amit Roy. Edited by veteran Sreekar Prasad, the screenplay is crafted by Hussain Dalal, Arshad Syed, and Sumit Arora.
The decision to prepone the release was welcomed by fans eagerly awaiting Shahid Kapoor’s return to the action genre after his success in Farzi. Industry experts believe the revised release date will give the film a better chance to dominate the box office without clashing with other major projects.
With its intense storyline, high-octane action, and a stellar cast, Deva is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about releases of 2025. Stay tuned as Shahid Kapoor promises to deliver another memorable performance in what is being dubbed a “violent yet thrilling cinematic experience.”
