Shri Amit Shah Proudly Inaugurates Rs 66 Crore Development Projects in Gujarat’s Sanand Assembly Constituency

Breaking News

Gujarat: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects valued at approximately ₹66 crore in the Sanand Assembly constituency of Gujarat on 10th September 2025. The event, conducted via video conferencing from New Delhi, marks a vital milestone in the region’s infrastructural growth and development, with a clear vision to transform Sanand into Gujarat’s most industrially advanced tehsil by 2029.

Symbol of National Unity through Constitutional Representation

Addressing the program, Shri Amit Shah congratulated Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan on his victory in the Vice-Presidential election, highlighting that India’s constitutional offices now reflect the country’s geographical unity. The President Smt. Droupadi Murmu represents Eastern India, Vice-President Shri Radhakrishnan represents Southern India, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi represents Western and Northern India. This diverse representation exemplifies the unity in India’s governance structure.

Comprehensive Development Plan for Sanand

Shri Shah outlined a robust plan geared toward ensuring that no village in the Sanand Assembly constituency will remain deprived of basic amenities by 2029. Critical infrastructure improvements are underway in Bavla and Sanand municipalities, focusing on road development, afforestation, healthcare, sanitation, and drinking water supply. With the operationalisation of the Dholera Special Investment Region and surrounding industrial projects, Sanand is poised to become a major industrial hub in Gujarat.

Water Supply and Irrigation Initiatives

Addressing long-standing water issues, 111 villages in Sanand have received irrigation and drinking water access following nearly completed projects costing ₹750 crore. An additional ₹1,000 crore allocation will enhance water delivery to households and farmlands, accelerating rural welfare and agricultural productivity.

Corporate Social Responsibility and Stakeholder Engagement

Development projects worth ₹150 crore are planned under CSR initiatives, curated in collaboration with local collection, MLA offices, and industrial partners, ensuring targeted and impactful interventions for village needs. Industrialist support and a strong administrative framework further empower rapid execution of development goals.

Environmental Commitment: Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign

Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for environmental stewardship, Shri Amit Shah urged communities to actively participate in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, promoting extensive tree plantation in schools, villages, and urban vacant spaces. He lauded the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency for achieving the highest number of tree plantations in Gujarat under the Green Gandhinagar Project.

Technological and Industrial Advancement

Highlighting steps toward technological growth, Shri Shah referenced the unveiling of India’s first indigenous 32-bit processor chip, ‘Vikram-32’, at SEMICON India 2025. Micron Technology’s upcoming semiconductor manufacturing unit in Sanand promises to add cutting-edge industrial development and job opportunities to the region.

Project Portfolio and Future Outlook

The day saw the inauguration of 29 development projects, foundation laying for 23 new projects, and the initiation or completion of works covering afforestation, road construction, rural infrastructure, and school development. These initiatives collectively strengthen Sanand’s socio-economic profile and align with the government’s vision of a Viksit Bharat under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

Conclusion

Shri Amit Shah’s launch of significant development projects and initiatives in Sanand marks a transformative journey toward inclusive growth, infrastructural excellence, and environmental sustainability. This focused endeavor underscores the government’s commitment to holistic rural upliftment and industrial prowess, positioning Sanand as a beacon of Gujarat’s development trajectory by 2029.
