Gaya: In a swift and coordinated operation, police rescued a six-year-old boy, Aryan, from Palamu, Jharkhand, within eight hours of his abduction on Monday evening. Four suspects, including two from Jharkhand, were arrested for their involvement in the crime.
Aryan’s mother, Suman Devi, reported him missing after he failed to return home from fishing near a canal in Bardih village, Imamganj. In her complaint, she mentioned that witnesses saw two men on a bike taking the boy away. Acting promptly, city superintendent of police Prerna Kumar formed a special investigation team (SIT) led by sub-divisional police officer Amit Kumar.
Using technical intelligence, the team tracked down Anuj Kumar from Narayanpur village, who revealed the boy had been taken to a house in Bichkila Padma village, Palamu. A raid on the location resulted in Aryan’s rescue and the arrest of three more suspects: Saurabh Kumar and Awadh Kumar, both from Falenda Eghara village in Jharkhand, and Pintu Kumar from Gaya.
The boy was found locked in a room inside the newly constructed house. Authorities also seized five mobile phones and the motorcycles used in the crime. Preliminary investigations suggest the kidnappers intended to demand a ransom after relocating the boy to a remote area approximately 120 kilometers from Gaya.
The swift action by the police, involving collaboration across districts and effective use of intelligence, ensured Aryan’s safe return and the arrest of all involved, preventing the crime from escalating further.
