Jha, a 1993-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the Bihar cadre, brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in law enforcement. His appointment to the prestigious position was confirmed by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, which has approved the appointment until his retirement date of January 31, 2027.
