New Delhi: On the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan actively participated in the “Shramdaan” cleanliness drive as part of the ongoing “Swachhata Hi Sewa” campaign at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, University of Delhi, on September 25, 2025. The event was organised by the Ministry of Education in line with the Swacchotsav celebrations inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call for a Swachh Bharat.
Emphasizing Daily Cleanliness and Collective Responsibility
Shri Pradhan highlighted the importance of making cleanliness a daily habit rather than limiting it to just one day. He urged all to embrace cleanliness as a lifestyle, working together towards a bright, clean, healthy, and prosperous India for the future generations.
Inspiring Youth for Swachhta and Viksit Bharat
Interacting with the students, Shri Pradhan expressed inspiration from the youthful energy and optimism for a better future. He stressed the indispensable role of youth in achieving nationwide cleanliness and the vision of Viksit Bharat. Further, he encouraged discipline in personal and professional life and called on students to dedicate at least one hour weekly to cleanliness and social causes.
Reiterating Call for Aatmanirbharta and Swadeshi
Recalling Prime Minister Modi’s emphasis on Aatmanirbharta and the Swadeshi movement, Shri Pradhan appealed to students and youth to adopt Swadeshi products, embody the “Vocal for Local” spirit, and contribute to a new chapter in India’s growth story towards becoming a developed nation.
