Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan Concludes Successfully with Massive Health Outreach Impacting Millions Across India: 2025

The “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar” Abhiyaan, a nationwide health initiative launched on 17th September 2025 and concluded on 2nd October 2025, achieved remarkable success by conducting over 18 lakh health camps and registering a footfall of nearly 10 crore citizens, benefiting more than 6.5 crore women throughout the country.

Extensive Screening and Preventive Care Services

Key health achievements during the campaign include:

  • Screening of over 1.78 crore citizens for hypertension and 1.72 crore for diabetes, emphasizing preventive healthcare.

  • Cancer screening covered over 37 lakh women for breast cancer, more than 19 lakh for cervical cancer, and approximately 96 lakh people underwent oral cancer screening.

  • Maternal and child health saw over 62.60 lakh antenatal check-ups and more than 1.43 crore children receiving life-saving vaccines.

  • Screening for anaemia reached over 1.51 crore people, complemented by nutrition counseling for 1.16 crore individuals.

  • Tuberculosis and Sickle Cell Disease detection involved screening over 85 lakh and 10.23 lakh citizens respectively.

  • The campaign also registered 2.68 lakh Ni-kshay Mitras (TB treatment supporters) and over 4.30 lakh blood donors.

  • Around 10.69 lakh Ayushman/PM-JAY health insurance cards were issued, expanding access to financial protection for healthcare.



Collaborative Approach and Institutional Support

The campaign was executed through a comprehensive network including National Health Mission (NHM) health camps, AIIMS and other Institutes of National Importance, tertiary care hospitals, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, medical colleges, and private healthcare providers. These institutions organized thousands of specialty camps offering advanced screening, diagnostics, counseling, and treatments, reinforcing efforts at state and community levels.

Strengthening Women and Child Health

The Abhiyaan stood as the largest ever health outreach targeting women and children in India, focusing on screening, early diagnosis, and treatment linkages for non-communicable diseases, anaemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease. It simultaneously promoted maternal, adolescent, and child health through immunization, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, and mental health awareness activities. The campaign mobilized public participation with an emphasis on healthy lifestyle adoption, obesity prevention, and voluntary blood donation.

Jointly led by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women & Child Development, the Abhiyaan reinforces the government’s vision of “Healthy Women, Empowered Families, Stronger India.” It aligns with overarching national health goals and fosters inclusive healthcare access and awareness.
