MUMBAI: Acclaimed Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has begun shooting for her latest venture, ‘Gandhari’, an action-thriller directed by Devashish Makhija. The film marks her sixth collaboration with writer-producer Kanika Dhillon, following successes like ‘Manmarziyaan’, ‘Haseen Dillruba’, and its sequel ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba’.
Pannu shared the news on Instagram, posting behind-the-scenes images from the set. In her post, she quoted a prayer, concluding with, “Let the war begin! #Gandhari”.
‘Gandhari’ is described as a revenge-thriller that delves into the profound bond between mother and child, set against a backdrop of gripping mystery and high-powered action.
Director Devashish Makhija, known for critically acclaimed films like ‘Ajji’, ‘Bhonsle’, and ‘Joram’, brings his unique storytelling to ‘Gandhari’. This project is the second under Kanika Dhillon’s banner, Kathha Pictures, following the success of ‘Do Patti’.
