Strategic Expansion Amidst High Import Tariffs

Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently discussed mobility and technology. Despite India’s high import tariffs, Tesla plans to introduce its vehicles to the Indian market. The tariffs can reach up to 100%.

Job Opportunities and Future Plans

As part of its expansion, Tesla has posted job ads for 13 mid-level positions in India. These roles include store operations and customer relationship management. The company is also considering importing vehicles from its Berlin Gigafactory. This would allow Tesla to offer more affordable models in India.

Tesla’s strategic investment in premium showroom spaces in Mumbai and Delhi underscores its commitment to entering the Indian market. By securing these prime locations, Tesla aims to establish a strong brand presence and cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country.
