Tom Holland recently shared a funny and relatable moment with his fans when he attempted to buy his own non-alcoholic beer, Bero, at Target, only to be carded despite being the creator of the product.

In a series of Instagram Stories posted on February 18, the 28-year-old actor took his followers along on an amusing journey to find his favorite beverage. Holland explained that he hadn’t been in the U.S. for a while and was eager to see Bero, a non-alcoholic beer he created, on store shelves. The journey was filled with unexpected setbacks, including visiting multiple Target locations in search of his beloved drink.

After finding no luck at his first Target, Holland joked about the store’s marketing efforts and set off for a second location. Determined to succeed, he said, “The hunt continues,” and at the third store, Holland finally found Bero in several color options — red, gold, green, or a combination of all three. However, his triumph quickly turned into a comedic situation.

In a video shared from the parking lot, Holland explained that although he found the beer, he almost couldn’t purchase it because the store wouldn’t accept his ID. His English ID didn’t meet the store’s requirements to verify his age, which led to an employee scanning their own ID instead. Laughing, Holland remarked, “Kind of ironic that I wasn’t allowed to buy my own product,” capturing the absurdity of the moment.

Holland, who ventured into the non-alcoholic beverage world because he felt there was a lack of premium options, created Bero as a way to feel more included in social settings without the effects of alcohol. He shared, “I wanted to build a brand that not only stands out but, most importantly, helps people fit in,” adding that he was excited to bring Bero to Target, where it is now available nationwide.

In an adorable nod to his fiancée Zendaya, Holland even named one of the beers “Noon Wheat,” after their Miniature Schnauzer, Noon, in a recent Target ad.

Holland’s fun adventure at Target not only entertained his fans but also highlighted his passion for the brand he’s worked hard to create.
