New Delhi — In a significant move to support the transition of ex-servicemen into civilian careers, the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), in collaboration with the Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR), successfully organized the DGR Job Fair 2025 at NIELIT Janakpuri Centre, Delhi. The fair aimed to provide skilled and trained veterans with meaningful placement opportunities in the corporate sector.
Overwhelming Response from Candidates and Recruiters
The Job Fair drew participation from over 190 registered ex-servicemen who had undergone specialized training in IT and emerging technologies at NIELIT centres in Delhi, Jammu, and Ropar. 14 reputed companies took part in the event, offering more than 250 job openings in fields such as IT support, cybersecurity, logistics, administration, and digital services.
Companies like CyberPeace, Kaidoko, G4S, RRGAURDUS, Sidhi Infonet, Stalwart Group, Trig, SiSProsegur, Onfinity Technologies and others shortlisted several candidates, aligning with their industry-specific requirements.
Dignitaries Inspire Veterans with Encouraging Addresses
Dr. Alok Tripathi, Director (Scheme & Skilling) and Chief Controller of Examination, NIELIT, opened the event by welcoming dignitaries and participants, reaffirming NIELIT’s commitment to closing the training-to-employment gap.
The fair was formally inaugurated by Shri Subhanshu Tiwari, Executive Director, NIELIT Delhi, who emphasized the significance of skill-based training and career support for veterans. In his address, he stated:
“The transition from the uniform to a new professional identity is a significant and often challenging phase. This job fair is not just a recruitment drive, but a bridge between valour and vocation — a celebration of dedication that doesn’t end with retirement from the armed forces.”
He praised the NIELIT Delhi team for their efforts and appreciated the participating companies for recognizing the value veterans bring to the workforce.
DGR Assures Continued Support for Skill Development
The Guests of Honour, Group Captain Sanjay Roy and Lt Col Jaideep Singh from the Directorate General of Resettlement, expressed their appreciation for the collaboration. Group Captain Roy highlighted:
“Continuous skill development is vital for employability in today’s evolving job market. We are committed to expanding such training programs and platforms in the future.”

The attending ex-servicemen enthusiastically engaged with recruiters, many expressing heartfelt thanks for the opportunity. The fair not only connected veterans with employers but also served as a morale booster, reinforcing the message that their service continues to be valued in new and evolving ways.
