New Delhi: The Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect initiative, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, has surpassed a major milestone by conducting sessions at over 55 out of the 75 targeted universities across India. Launched on September 17, 2025, as part of the Seva Pakhwada commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, the programme aims to inspire youth and connect them with India’s development vision for 2047.

  • The initiative is held at 75 campuses linked with diverse rural, urban, and tribal regions, reflecting India’s inclusivity and the Prime Minister’s life and achievements.

  • Sessions are led by 75 Youth Icons including state champions from the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue 2025, awardees from National Service Scheme and National Youth Awards, and winners of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament.

  • Presentations showcase India’s transformative growth over the past 11 years and outline the vision for a developed India by 2047, fostering pride and purpose among young audiences.

  • The programme incorporates “Yuva Samvad” interactive sessions that encourage participants aged 15–25 to engage actively with policymakers and youth leaders by raising questions and sharing ideas.

Prominent educational institutions where sessions have been successfully held include Birsa Munda Tribal University (Gujarat), Swami Vivekananda University (West Bengal), Indian Maritime University (Tamil Nadu), Dhanamanjuri University (Manipur), Government Degree College (Kargil, Ladakh), and Sophia Girls College (Ajmer, Rajasthan), exemplifying the programme’s expansive and inclusive footprint.
