World Food India 2025 Secures Historic Rs 1.02 Lakh Crore Investment in Food Processing Sector

New Delhi: World Food India 2025, organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), concluded with a landmark achievement, securing investment commitments totaling ₹1,02,046.89 crore through 26 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading domestic and global players. These investments are poised to generate significant employment while advancing India’s ambition to become a global food processing hub.

Major Industry Players and Diverse Sectors

Key signatories include prominent names such as Reliance Consumer Products Ltd., The Coca-Cola System in India, Amul, Nestlé India Ltd., Tata Consumer Products Ltd., Patanjali Foods Ltd., Godrej Agrovet Ltd., Dabur India Ltd., and many others. These collaborations span a broad spectrum of food processing segments, including dairy, meat and poultry, packaged foods, beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), spices, confectionery, edible oils, and ready-to-eat products.



Pan-India Investment Footprint and Impact

Investments under these MoUs will be dispersed across numerous states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and the North-Eastern region. This wide geographical spread ensures equitable socio-economic benefits, empowering farmers, entrepreneurs, and local communities across India.

Employment Generation and Economic Significance

The commitments are expected to create direct employment for over 64,000 individuals and indirect opportunities for more than 10 lakh people, underlining the sector’s capacity to drive inclusive growth and contribute robustly to India’s economy.

Invest India, acting as the national investment promotion and facilitation partner, played a crucial role in driving these agreements.
