The couple who came to their rescue included an IPS officer and his wife, an IRS officer. Allahbadia thanked the officers for their quick and brave intervention, which likely prevented a tragedy.
The incident occurred during a holiday trip to Goa, where Allahbadia and his girlfriend were enjoying a relaxing swim. The current unexpectedly pulled them under, and without the timely help from the couple, the situation could have turned fatal.
