BJP Expels Sandeep Naik for Anti-Party Activities Amid Belapur Ticket Dispute

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expelled Sandeep Naik, its former Navi Mumbai president, following allegations of anti-party activities. Naik’s rebellion followed the party’s decision to deny him the ticket for the Belapur constituency, where incumbent BJP MLA Manda Mhatre received renomination.

Sandeep Naik, who was previously a prominent figure in BJP, has since joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and is contesting the upcoming elections as a Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) candidate for Belapur. The party leadership, however, did not take kindly to his defection and the resulting rebellion, which they claim undermines the party’s unity and discipline.

BJP’s Navi Mumbai president Ramchandra Gharat addressed the situation, stating that the party had to take a strong decision to send a clear message about its stand on discipline. He emphasized that Naik’s actions of opposing the official BJP candidate and working for their defeat were unacceptable. Gharat said that the party leaders were upset because someone entrusted with the responsibility of leading the party in the city went against it.

Naik’s defection has stirred local politics, with former corporators supporting him, while his father Ganesh Naik remains with BJP. The party remains firm on maintaining discipline and unity ahead of the crucial election cycle.

PM Modi Targets Congress and MVA Alliance for Corruption and Hindering Development in Maharashtra

In a strong critique of the opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the coalition of being “the biggest khiladi (player) in corruption” and hindering development in Maharashtra. Addressing a rally in Chimur, Maharashtra, PM Modi highlighted the failures of the Congress, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Shiv Sena (UBT), accusing them of stalling infrastructure projects and impeding the state’s progress.

PM Modi slammed the MVA for blocking the much-needed rail connectivity projects, particularly in regions like Chandrapur, which have faced decades of delayed development. He claimed that the Congress and its allies have specialized in putting brakes on progress and misleading the public.

The Prime Minister also voiced concerns over Congress’s approach to the tribal community. Referring to a caste census proposal by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Modi warned that such efforts could divide the Adivasi population, weakening their unity and identity. He accused Congress of attempting to sow internal divisions within tribal communities, a move he argued would ultimately harm their strength.

Additionally, Modi took aim at the legacy of Congress, particularly its handling of Jammu and Kashmir, pointing to the now-abolished Article 370, which he said allowed violence and separatism to flourish. He emphasized that the current government had fully integrated the region with India, signaling an end to divisive policies.

The Prime Minister also criticized the Gandhi family, accusing them of stifling the advancement of Dalits, backward classes, and Adivasis, while perpetuating a dynastic rule that neglected the country’s true welfare. He assured that the BJP-led Mahayuti would secure a massive victory in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections.

The elections in Maharashtra will take place on November 20, and the results will be declared on November 23.

Chhattisgarh Lawyer Arrested in Connection with Shah Rukh Khan’s Death Threat

In a significant development, Mumbai police arrested Faizan Khan, a 42-year-old lawyer from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in connection with a threatening call made to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Last week, a caller demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from Shah Rukh Khan, threatening the actor’s life unless the money was paid. The caller claimed to be stationed outside Khan’s residence, Mannat, in Mumbai.

Police investigations revealed that the call originated from a mobile number registered to Faizan Khan. Initially, Faizan asserted that his phone had been stolen on November 2, the day of Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, and suggested someone else made the threatening call. However, authorities were skeptical of this claim and pursued further questioning

Faizan had even filed a complaint with the Raipur police reporting his phone as stolen.

Despite authorities summoning Faizan to Mumbai for questioning, he failed to appear, which led to his arrest on Tuesday.

Faizan is now expected to appear before a local court in Raipur, where Mumbai police will request his transit remand to bring him to Mumbai for further investigation.

Investigators have not yet disclosed a clear motive behind the threat, nor have they connected him to any known criminal organizations. Notably, Faizan had also filed a complaint earlier this year against Shah Rukh Khan, citing a controversial dialogue from the actor’s 1994 film Anjaam regarding deer hunting, but it is unclear if this is linked to the current incident.

The police have booked Faizan under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including criminal intimidation and extortion, while tightening security around Shah Rukh Khan’s residence in light of the threat.

Heartbreak in Himachal as Army JCO Rakesh Kumar’s Mortal Remains Arrive for Final Farewell

On Tuesday, Barnog, a serene village in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, fell into mourning as the mortal remains of Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Indian Army’s 2 Para, returned home for his final rites. Kumar, a valiant soldier, was killed in action during a fierce encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Sunday.

Rakesh Kumar’s untimely death has left his family devastated. His brother, Karam Singh, shared the pain of losing the beloved soldier, revealing that Rakesh had been planning to rebuild their monsoon-damaged home. The family had been living in a rented house after their ten-room home was severely damaged in last year’s floods. Rakesh, who had come on leave just a month and a half ago, had promised to start the construction of their new home in January.

The late JCO leaves behind his wife, Bhanupriya, their two young children – daughter Yashshwini (13) and son Pranav (7) – and his elderly mother, Bhati Devi, who is 90 years old. Rakesh’s tragic death has cast a shadow over his village, with the entire community mourning the loss of a valiant son.

On Monday afternoon, a special Army helicopter transported Rakesh Kumar’s mortal remains, landing at Kangni helipad.

From there, the authorities transported the remains to Ner Chowk Medical College before taking them to his native village for the final journey. The entire village gathered to honor him as his body made its way home.

Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, a courageous soldier in the elite 2 Para unit of the Indian Army, gave his life during an operation targeting terrorists responsible for abducting and killing two Village Defence Guards (VDGs) in Kishtwar. The operation, which involved a large-scale combing effort by security forces, also led to injuries for three other soldiers.

The terrorist group, Kashmir Tigers – an affiliate of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) – later claimed responsibility for the attack on the VDGs. The killings in Kishtwar prompted heightened security operations across the region. This year alone, there have been multiple attacks in Jammu, which have claimed the lives of 16 security personnel, 10 civilians, and three VDGs. Security forces, however, have successfully neutralized 13 terrorists in the region, with the ongoing counterinsurgency operations intensifying.

In Kashmir, where Rakesh Kumar made the ultimate sacrifice, terror-related incidents have claimed the lives of nine security personnel and 15 civilians this year. However, security forces have eliminated 24 terrorists during the same period.

The grief-stricken family of Rakesh Kumar, and the people of Barnog, will forever remember his bravery and selflessness in the line of duty. His sacrifice is a testament to the courage and commitment of India’s armed forces in the face of adversity

7 Top Foods to Boost Collagen Production for Healthy Skin and Joints

Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies, providing structure to our skin, bones, muscles, and connective tissues. As we age, collagen production naturally declines, leading to signs of aging like wrinkles and joint pain. Fortunately, incorporating certain nutrient-rich foods into your diet can help promote collagen production, giving your skin a youthful glow and supporting joint health. Here are seven of the best foods to boost collagen levels:

1. Bone Broth
Bone broth is one of the best natural sources of collagen. It simmers animal bones, releasing collagen and other nutrients like amino acids and minerals into the liquid. Drinking bone broth regularly can help replenish collagen levels, improve skin elasticity, and support joint health.

2. Citrus Fruits
Vitamin C is essential for collagen synthesis, and citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, and grapefruits are packed with this vital nutrient. Vitamin C helps in the production of collagen by stabilizing the collagen molecule and promoting its formation, leading to firmer, smoother skin.

3. Berries
Berries, such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, are also rich in vitamin C. Moreover, they contain powerful antioxidants that help protect collagen from damage caused by free radicals. These free radicals can degrade collagen fibers over time, making antioxidants in berries essential for preserving skin health and elasticity.

4. Leafy Greens
Dark leafy greens like spinach, kale, and Swiss chard are excellent sources of vitamin C and other important nutrients, including chlorophyll, which has been shown to support collagen formation. These vegetables also promote overall skin health by providing anti-inflammatory benefits.

5. Garlic
Garlic contains sulfur, a mineral that plays a key role in collagen production. It also helps prevent the breakdown of collagen fibers by inhibiting enzymes that cause collagen degradation. As a result, this action supports the maintenance of collagen structure and function, ultimately promoting skin health and resilience over time. Regularly adding garlic to your meals can aid in maintaining healthy, youthful-looking skin.

6. Eggs
Eggs, particularly the whites, are packed with proline, an amino acid that is a crucial building block of collagen. Consuming eggs regularly can provide your body with the necessary nutrients to help maintain strong and elastic skin and connective tissues.

7. Nuts and Seeds
Nuts and seeds, including almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, and flaxseeds, are rich in zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants, all of which are important for collagen production. Zinc, in particular, plays a critical role in the synthesis of collagen and helps maintain skin integrity. Furthermore, incorporating these collagen-boosting foods into your diet can significantly improve skin elasticity, reduce wrinkles, and support joint function. As a result, you’ll not only enhance your skin’s appearance but also promote overall joint health.

For the best results, pair these foods with a healthy lifestyle that includes proper hydration, regular exercise, and adequate sleep to keep your body’s collagen levels strong.

Amit Shah Targets Congress and JMM in Jharkhand Election Campaign: Promises Action Against Corruption

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched a sharp attack on the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress alliance, accusing them of widespread corruption in the state. At a rally in Dhanbad, Shah pledged that those responsible for embezzling public funds would face severe consequences. “The money seized from Congress and JMM leaders belongs to the youth, mothers, and sisters of Jharkhand. “Once the BJP takes power, we will recover every penny looted from the poor tribals, backward classes, and youth and return it to the state,” he declared.

Shah’s comments come amid accusations of corruption against JMM and Congress leaders, following a raid that uncovered Rs.350 crore in illicit funds linked to Congress leader Dheeraj Sahu. He also took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making empty promises to the electorate. “Rahul Baba makes many announcements which go unfulfilled. He added that BJP’s commitments would be honored, emphasizing that Modi’s guarantees are firm and unbreakable.

Shah further reiterated the BJP’s focus on securing Jharkhand from “foreign infiltrators,” promising that the party would form a panel to identify and expel such individuals. He also vowed to safeguard the land rights of local tribal women, asserting that BJP’s governance would protect Jharkhand’s future.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh responded to Shah’s remarks, stating that attempts to intimidate the public would not succeed. “The public is with us, and we are confident of a decisive mandate in Jharkhand and Maharashtra,” he said, emphasizing the importance of vigilance in the run-up to the elections.

The Election Commission will conduct the Jharkhand assembly elections in two phases: on November 13 and 20. The results will be announced on November 23.

Fadnavis Takes Aim at Owaisi, Advocates for ‘Dharma Yudh’ in Maharashtra Polls

At a rally in Oshiwara, Fadnavis escalated his conflict with Owaisi, defending “vote jihad” remarks and calling for “dharma yudh.” His comments were a direct response to Owaisi’s criticisms, where Fadnavis pointed out, “This is Maharashtra, not Hyderabad.”

Fadnavis stressed BJP’s focus on inclusive development while accusing opposition parties of promoting divisive policies like Muslim reservations and waqf board funding. “We will work for the development of all but will not stand for policies that undermine national interest,” he stated.

Fadnavis emphasized BJP’s infrastructure achievements, criticized Owaisi and Thackeray, and addressed local concerns, bolstering Mahayuti’s campaign. These statements are set to further fuel the ongoing political tensions as Maharashtra heads into elections.
